Modern Family Living

The brief on this project was to implement a turnkey solution for clients who were living overseas and assist them with their new build in Cape Town. My role was to liaise between them and the build team, manage all their build finish choices and installations, and then finish the home with all the furniture and soft finishes that they required in order to create a beautiful welcoming modern family holiday home for the couple and their three children.

Belinda Cary Home Transformations provided a full turnkey solution for international clients during the build of this modern estate home in Cape Town. Zoom meetings were held to choose finishes, colours, flooring, sanware, lighting and to make choices on furniture styles and decor to be installed once the build was complete. A collaboration that evolved over many months whilst their home was being built. We used a palette of soft blues and turquoise, taupes and greys with grey washed timbers. My client loved the “Hamptons” style. The kitchen was sleek and modern in white with grey stone counter tops. The same look carried through to the bathrooms. Walls were painted in a soft stone except for the occasional feature wall in each space being an accent colour or wallpaper. This is a family home with three young children and one that will evolve in time. It also has the most lovely guest suite with its own little kitchenette downstairs. This was a truly wonderful project to work on with very special clients.
