Professional Profile

Belinda Cary has a background in Textile design, she trained as a textile designer and worked for large textile mills in Durban in the 80's and 90's specialising in all aspects of upholstery fabrics, designing prints and woven jacquards. She also has experience in the apparel  industry doing surface prints and embroidery designs for clothing companies.  She relocated to Cape Town in 1999 and built her own home and started her own business doing specialised aged paint finishes and Patina's on kitchen cabinets and furniture, she found there is always a market to repurpose what her clients already owned giving interiors and furniture a new lease on life and character.  However she missed the world of fabrics and after an extensive renovation to her home,  Belinda Cary Home Transformations was born, and she combined her talents for interior renovation, paint effects, textiles and interior design into one company offering her clients solutions for their renovations and interior projects. She has worked with developers helping clients on new build projects co ordinating all their build finishes for the build team and developed a reputation as a creative and accomplished professional. Based in the Noordhoek Valley , but with commissions that span the country , she is always searching for her next challenging project.

Belinda Cary Home Transformations is especially interested in homes that need renovating and restyling , her keen eye for the way spaces can be modified to create beautiful interiors is apparent in all her projects and her happy clients.
